"J" and I are no longer talking and we haven't spoken to each other since June 2010. We had be friends for 3 years. I have no idea why he stopped talking to me.

Some people are meant to be in your life for a short time and some people are meant to be in your life for a long time.

I haven't tried to contact J in over year...and I probably won't.

I went on a job interview very recently and I hope to get the job. I've been out of work for a while and I look forward to joining the workforce again.

Appearances Aren't What They Seem

Appearances can be deceiving...and I found that out the hard way.

I thought I could depend on my "friend" J. I thought that we would be close friends for a long time.

But when a person is going through tough times, some people tend to shy away from that person...and not be there when they're needed the most.

I asked J to loan me some money, so I could get myself back on my feet. He promised that he would.

I never got the money that I needed and now he hardly talks to me. I had done nothing wrong to him, and yet he treats me this way.

With a friend like him, who needs enemies?

I feel disappointed and saddened. He failed to be there for me when I needed his friendship the most.

I feel like I wasted my time with him. I had suspicions that he wasn't being truthful to me about certain aspects of himself.

I'll continue to talk to him, but by email only.

At this point, I consider out friendship nearly non-existent.

What's Gone Wrong With Britney Spears?

I feel nothing but pity for her. Look at the mess she's gotten herself into.

I feel sorry for her children. What kind of parent is she? Not a very good one.

Why is she destroying herself like this? Doesn't she care about her children?

Had she truly did, she would've gotten help for her problems BEFORE things went into a downward spiral.

Why isn't her family doing anything? Why didn't they step in and do something drastic?

If this were happening to a regular person, would it be all over the news? Most likely not.

Britney is the poster child for bad parenting. She should NEVER get custody of her kids back.

If she continues her path of self-destruction, she may not live to see her children grow up.

I'm surprised that Britney isn't in jail by now. I am convinced that jail time would straighten her act out.

I don't agree with how Dr. Phil intervened. He could've done it differently. However, it was a wake-up call.

Britney brought her problems on HERSELF. Dr Phil wouldn't have done what he did if the situation wasn't dire.

What goes around, comes around. Britney is the prime example of a woman that should've never had kids.

She's her own worst enemy. Only BRITNEY can change things around.

My landlord made me leave the house for a couple of hours...just to entertain his girlfriend.

I live in that house, too. Why should I have to leave?

He accuses me of "interfering with his social life".

I stay to myself and I have a boyfriend of my own. Meddling around in his "personal affairs" is the last thing on my mind.

It's about time I leave that place. I'd rather be by myself than living in misery.

On the Weight Loss Path...again

As I was surfing the 'Net, I came across this cool site called MyFitnessPal.

I've been members of weight-loss sites, and most weren't worth sticking around. The interface was so difficult and unsightly. I spent more time trying to figure out the site rather than using it.

But when I joined MyFitnessPal, that wasn't the case. They have a calorie counter that's easy to use, easy to navigate:

For me, counting calories online is much more convenient for me that doing it on paper. They even have a tool where it shows the complete nutritional data of a particular item. Some may say that calorie counting is too strict. For me, I must.

I've struggled with my weight since age 18. Not watching what I eat has led to a 100 lb weight gain. This website has helped me to make better food choices. I now avoid certain foods because they actually make me gain weight. I'm more careful of what I eat.

The best thing is: the site is 100% FREE. No credit card is required...ever. No monthly or yearly membership payments. It teaches others how to make proper food choices by analyzing nutritional data.

I have to step up how frequently I post. I have so much catching up to do.

I had a lot of health issues and personal problems that kept me away. Deal with that first and then back to work.

And did you know that Alli was originally called Xenical? They just renamed it and made it available to everyone (over-the-counter).

My mom used to take that stuff (Xenical). Didn't do a bit of good.

Why can't people just exercise and cut down their portions. I know I need to lose some weight, but would never resort to drugs like Alli

I feel sorry for those who take Alli. The side effects are quite...explosive.

Moving On....

Hopefully, by the end of this year, I'll be back in NYC.

Living on Long Island is great...but if you don't have a car, it's hard to get around.

Why haven't I gotten one yet?

It's too expensive for me right now. Why get a license with no car?

Plus, public transportation in NYC is superior to LI.

At least NYC Transit runs 24/7, 365. Out here in Suffolk, the buses stop running at 7:05pm. No buses on Sunday. That sucks.

In NYC, work is far easier to find. I can hop on a bus and not have to worry if I missed the last run of the night.

I know I want to move to Queens...but where is the question....

Since my last post, I've been cleaning house!

Since this is the New Year, I decided to get rid of elements of my blog that I felt served no purpose. To regular visitors of my blog, you'll notice that the Google AdSense and the PayPal donation button is gone. My Textads.biz ad is gone as well. I never made any money with Textads.biz, so why keep their code on my website?

I've also changed the template from Minima Dark to Rounders 2 (for those whom are familiar with Blogger templates. I felt that Minima Dark was too ominous, too gloomy.

In the next couple of months, I will change the template again. I want to keep my blog looking fresh and updated.

And yes, that's me in the picture.

Someone recently hacked into my blogger account in mid-December of last year, erasing every single posting since August 3rd, 2006.

I never found out who did it. My account is back under my control. I want to be a part of the PayPerPost community. I promise to keep my blog updated on a regular basis. Took a Break...

I took a vacation from blogging. I've been trying to get my weight under control. I've had a little success, but not enough to be noticeable. I've decided to become a Raw Foodist.

I know, most people consider it outrageous and extreme. Some consider it dangerous, especially for kids. Storm and Jinjee Talifero are raising their kids Raw and they're perfectly healthy, more so than most of us. If it works for them, it can work for me.

I will keep everyone posted on my progress.

It's been a month since my last post. I am no longer a resident of Suffolk County. I moved back to Brooklyn nearly a month ago. I moved back in with my mother. It's too expensive to live on the Island. The public housing list is years long. Brentwood is a nice place to live in. It's quieter at night than in NYC. No bums hanging on your window or tacky people blasting their music until the wee hours of the morning. I could sleep without worrying about getting robbed.

Pete McGowan's career as Islip Supervisor is tainted. He's been outted. I was surprised and shocked at how it came about. The man was conducting criminal activity on the Down Low. Where was his brains? He must've got beamed to the planet Stoopid, 'cause no politician in their right mind would do the things McGowan did. Google his name and you'll find all the information you need on him.

I must be getting to sleep. Will write more soon.

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. I tried out going to school and it didn't work out. I'll go back to school as soon as I get my personal affairs settled. It was really hard to concentrate on school work with all of my personal problems. I decided it was best to withdraw.

I'm on the hunt for a full btime job. Being a supermarket cashier was OK in the beginning, but now it time for me to move on to better things. Where I'm working at now was only a stepping stone. I don't want to spend the rest of my working years being a part time cashier (my current job).

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. School and work has taken up a lot of my free time. Maybe I should think twice before scheduling classes 15 mintues before I have to be at work. Currently, I have a 15-credit course load. I can take Body Toning next semester. I realize that I was overzealous, optimistic and tired when I did the schedule and I anow realize that I don't need 15 credits. 14 is good enough for me. That will leave Tuesdays and Thursdays after 11:00am free to work without having to rush. I'd rather be liable for $250.00 than to stay in a class that I don't like.

Happy New Year, Everyone.

I can't believe that 2005 is now over. So much good things happened to me. I got a job. I finished my first semester at my local community college. I'm the first in my family to attend college.

2006 will be the year I make drastic changes in my life. I had to cut off one guy because I realized that being with a married man wasn't right. I felt like this from the beginning of our short friendship. It was compounded when I has sexual relations with this man, knowing he was marrried. I made the decision just days ago to rid of him and his friend for good. I don't need to be messing with a married man. I did that once before and it got me into a world of trouble.

Everyone thinks that sleeping with a married men is exciting.

I've learned my lesson.

I plan on getting myself back into the Mormon Church(I'm inactive). I abandoned my faith because I believed the naysayers. I won't let thay happen again. I will not date married men. It serves no purpose. What good does it serve? None.

I don't even care about Christmas anymore, to be totally honest. I don't even celebrate it. Why not? I'm not feeling the spirit. Christmas has become too commercialized. It's more about giving gifts and I don't like that. I don't believe in it anymore. I won't be a Grinch and B**ch and moan about it. I won't say "Merry Christmas" either or "Happy Holidays". I know I sound a bit bitter and "anti-holiday", but I truly feel this way. Christmas has lost its true meaning. Why spend a buttload of money on presents? You won't be in the spirit when that credit card bill comes in. You'll wonder what got into you. I have never bought a present for anyone. I shouldn't be pressured to buy a present or give a card because of the holidays. To me, Christmas is just another day.

Being a cashier at Pathmark and a part-time student really doesn't leave me with a lot of free time! Anyway, I'm doing OK at work. My till was short...again. I must be doing something wrong. I can't understand how I was short by $4.00 one day and $25.18 short the next. I'm going to have a talk with ny manager. I might be wrong, but maybe the bookkeeper made a mistake and I'm paying for it. We'll see.

My son Ezra is doing well. He understands more complex verbal commands and he walks a lot better. No more stiff legs!

My mother is trying to hit me up for money again. I can't help her. I have bills and child support payments to pay. I can't afford to give out my hard-earned money to someone who doesn't deserve it. She needs to get a better job, 'cause the one she has now sucks. She made just a paltry $2,302 last year. I makem ore than she does. I see a future with my job. My mom can't say the same thing about hers.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I've been busy with my new job at Patmark as a cashier. The hardest job I've ever did! Keeping my till(cash drawer) from going over or under a certain amount each day hasn't been easy. I've been written up twice for my till being under(that neans that my till was short on cash). I've corrected those mistakes and moved on from there.

I no longer use that F'ed up Premio Pentium IIx2 processor(the black clunky ones). The power button broke and I can't turn it on. So all of my data is temporarily unreachable. Last month, I went to http://www.dell.cpom and purchased an Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook with Windows XP Home Edition already installed. It works 1000 times better than that old clunker I had. I got so darn tired of rewriting my hard drive to zeroes and catching virus after virus, Trojans and who knows what else?

I just recied my Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Deluxe. Cleaning it up is a chore, but the juice that it gives is worth it!

My mother and I are no longer speaking. When she realized that her abusive past caught up to her, she backed off and stopped calling me. My mother wanted custody of him...but she didn't count on me telling CPS about her abusive past. \You see, Ezra(my son) is autistic. His condition requires him to be under constant supervision. He can't be left alone for a second or else he'll wander off and get into trouble or worse. I couldn't provide him with what he needed.

I was phyisically, emotionally, mentally, and psychogically EXHAUSTED from taking care of him. I was mean to him and that wasn't right. It came to the point where CPS came and took me away from my home. I came back later that day, but was forced to go back. I hated that shelter. I cried all the time, and kept everyone at a distance. My son didn't handle it well at all. He threw horrendous screaming fits and I had to constantly hold him back so he wouldn't wander off and hurt himself.

By the second day, I was so exhausted and burned out, I voluntarily requested that he be put in foster care temporarily. April 20th, 2005 is the day my life changed forever. I knew that this was the right thing to do. And I donyt regret it. My mother has no right to say anythign about what's going on. I am the mother and the ball is in MY court. She isn't fit to take care of my son.

My mother abused me up until the day I left East New York(Brooklyn) on April 24th, 2004. To this day, my mother doesn't even talk about it. When I needed her help, she FAILED to help or gave me half-a**ed help.

Not Again!

For the third time, I had to go back to DSS and apply for food stamps! How many FRICKIN' times do I have to do this??!!!?? I was told that if I returned some documents to them by September 15th, I would not have to reapply for food stamps...Guess what? IT DIDN"T HAPPEN! Not only did they keep my case closed, but on August 30th, I have to go back for recertification. AAAAAACCCCKKKKK! I apologize....I just can't stand this! The welfare system is running the way it is because of others before me that abused it.

It's not fair...but I'll have to deal with it. Today, I'll be going in for a job interview at Pathmark of Brentwood(NY) and tomorrow, I'll be heading to the Suffolk County Community College bookstore for another interview(I also happen to be a student there). I pray that I get a job so I can get off the welfare system.

Obesity isn't cool. I don't care what people say! At least I'm doing something about it. As I was on the S54 bus(Suffolk County Transit), I noticed a massively obese man. He took up not one,not two, but THREE SEATS! I wondered how he could even move around. I know that I'm no skinny minny. I could stand to lose a couple of pounds mysself. But I would NEVER allow myself to get so massive. I weigh 233 lbs. This man probably weighed nearly 3 times my weight.

Obesity is a disease that killed my grandmother at the age of 62 in late-2001, just 6 days before Christmas. She was morbidly obese and I will not let that happen to me.

One of my gripes about his diet is cutting out all soy products. One size doesn't fit all. The McDougalll diet might work for one person and not for the other. This diet isn't suited for everyone. I think I'm one of them. Cutting out soy products would be almost impossible for me. I'm on a REALLY tight budget and buying rice milk in place of soymilk is one expense I don't need. Soy products are high-fat(4 grams of fat per serving). But it's from plant sources. Another gripe I have about the McDougall diet is excluding all dietary oils...Moderation is key here.

Natalee Holloway Case: What's Going On?

After hearing what's been going on with the case, I'm still a bit baffled. The Aruban justice system makes no sense to me. It doesn't seem like there's any kind of order over there. If Natalee Holloway disappeared somewhere here in the US, can you honestly say that our justice system would've handled the case the way the Arubans are doing it now? I don't think so. And would our local authorities have released the suspects to track their conversations to see if they would incriminate themselves? Not a chance. It proves that the Aruban justice system is screwed up and in serious need of an overhaul.

I still haven't found a job yet. It's been nearly 2 1/2 months since my son left my custody. Nada, zilch, cero,ZERO. I've looked high and low for employment. I've even looked on Long Island's craigslist(http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/) and still haven't found one. I'm still hopeful and optimistic. I won't quit looking. If I do, then that's defeeat and I cannot allow that to happen. I'll keep everyone updated on what's going on. Wish me luck!

Back 2 Veg Again

I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for 29 days. I've slipped up, but got right back on the wagon. Since switching, I've lost 8 pounds and I'm not as hungry as I used to be. Once I gain custody of my son Ezra again, he'll be eating healthier too. Right now, I have absolutely no say in what he can and cannot eat.

Being overweight is the reason why I've gone back to being veg. Meat products have been linked to early puberty. If you don't believe me, go to Yahoo.com and type in "meat linked to early puberty" and just read.

It won't be easy to stick to my lifestyle/diet, because I live with an omnivore (someone who eats meat and dairy). But he respects my beliefs and won't knock it. I will press on...by eating right, educating myself even more about the vegetarian lifestyle and....EXERCISE MORE. Right now, I ride my bike for about 15 minutes 7 days a week. Yesterday, I started doing Billy Blank's BootCamp Cardio Live again. 29 minutes of fast-paced cardio and strength training.

I want to be back to a size 14 by the end of this year. I won't fail at vegetarianism again. I can't afford to.

I went to court on Monday....In order to keep Ezra where he is now, I had to plead guilty to neglect, which was a ludicrous charge to begin with. Where I'm living at now isn't child-friendly or safe. What they failed to realize is that I had nowhere else to live. My mom didn't want me in the house. We weren't getting along and it was time for me to go.

This situation came to be because one of his therapists said that I was starving my son. BULL****! The boy was EXTREMELY finicky when it came to food. There were some nights where he'd go to bed hungry because he flat out refused to eat. I couldn't force-feed him; that would've been an unwise thing for me to do. I would sit with him for nearly 30 minutes trying to feed him. Taking care of him took a psychological toll on me.

For someone looking in, I was indifferent towards my son. I didn't seem to care about him. But that wasn't the case. His autism progressed to the point where I could not even leave him in another room to play by himself. He would go up and down the stairs constantly for 30 minutes or more. He slammed doors constantly and nearly broke my cable box!

In the 2 months he's been in foster care, his demeanor and attitude has changed. He doesn't play with the doors as much and he doesn't throw temper tantrums and act out. He's doing well and I'm proud of the decision that I made. His condition made it impossible for me to keep a sane mind. I nearly went crazy trying to deal with him. He turns 3 on June 27th. Three long years. Finally, the storm has passed. My mind is clear for the first time. My mind is my own now. I won't let it go to waste.

Today I went to visitation with my son Ezra. He's in temporary foster care...Why he's there is a story for another day. So far, my son is doing well. His autism is under control. he isn't hyperactive anymore nor does he scream and yell everytime I try to touch him. He was also hypersensitive too. Which made it hard to be a parent to him. His condition got to the point where he would scream and cry and throw horrible fits for no reason. Foster care was the only option for him. Dealing with his condtion on a daily basis wore me down emotionally and physically. I was mentally exhausted. I couldn't give my all. Ran out of steam. And I'm glad that I made the right decision. It was for the best. I'll keep everyone posted onhis progress.

It has been nearly 4 years since I left the father of my son, Cleophus Harmon. It was the hardest thing I had to do. He was facing 25 to life and I didn't want to be around when the S#!+ hit the fan. I had NO ideathat this guy has some serious a$$ isssues! Didn't know that one of his ex-wives was UNDERAGE. Darn, WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?? Then I found out that he had went to prison for 7 years. Cleophus never told me what he went to prison for. And now, he's NOWHERE TO BE FOUND! I'll tell ya more about him. My son needs a dad and I will NOT rest until he is found.
